I'm about ready to make my leap into the industry and is preparing for
my school's portfolio show, hiring professionals will be in
attendance. So I definitely want to be prepared for any questions they
may ask me but I also want to know what qualities they look for in
    candidates.

    Thanks,
    Yvonne

I'd say a webdesigner's main competence must be flexibility and being
allways updated on current web issues. HTML and CSS in webstandards
offcourse. Good Notions of design and usability. that would be mainly
what I would as for in an intern. After acessing his or her habilities
(maybe 6 months or so) I'd might hire. But the universe of webdesign
    is realy broad.
